Cover Alert: Mumford and Sons – I’m On Fire (Bruce Springsteen)

MUMFORD & SONS PERFORM ACOUSTIC VERSION OF
SPRINGSTEEN CLASSIC AT THE GREEK LAST NIGHT

Back in February during Grammys Weekend Mumford & Sons stole the show at a MusicCares tribute to Bruce Springsteen with their gorgeous acoustic take on The Boss’s 1985 hit “I’m On Fire.” The Mumford boys may have won the Album Of The Year Grammy for Babel, but according to Rolling Stone they were even more excited about playing for and meeting Springsteen that weekend.

Last night in Berkeley, Marcus Mumford and Co. kicked off a sold-out three-night stand at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. As their first encore they treated the capacity crowd to their stunning version of “I’m On Fire.” Before starting the song, Marcus warned the audience that they were about to embark on a quiet number and that they should refrain from shouting during the cover. In watching this fan-shot video by YouTuber nowiknowuryder, the audience did an okay job of letting the band play.
