Cover Alert | moe. Covers San Ber’dino By Frank Zappa
By Scott Bernstein Sep 19, 2014 • 12:40 pm PDT

moe. first debuted a cover of Frank Zappa’s “San Ber’dino” way back in 1994 and the band’s version of the One Size Fits All track made it onto a number of setlists in 1994 and 1995 before disappearing from the repertoire until New Year’s Eve ’98-’99. “San Ber’dino” then went back into somewhat heavy rotation for the next few years. However, between 2005 and 2013 moe. only performed the cover 12 times. This year, “San Ber’dino” has been played in public three times with the most recent version serving as the encore in Montreal.
An outstanding audience recording of Sunday’s show has surfaced on Archive.org, giving us a chance to enjoy the most recent “San Ber’dino.” Take a listen:
