Soulive’s Bowlive run continues at Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday and Wednesday with a pair of “The Freak ‘N Soul Revue” performances featuring special guests Chris Robinson, The Extra Shady Horns, Alecia Chakour and Sasha Ortiz as well as Adam Deitch and Adam “Schmeeans” Smirnoff of Lettuce just for Wednesday night. SiriusXM’s Jam_ON channel will broadcast Soulive’s Wednesday night Bowlive performance featuring Chris Robinson & Co. live from Brooklyn Bowl. The broadcast starts around 9 p.m. ET and will include segments with Soulive guitarist Eric Krasno and other special guests throughout the evening.

Bowlive continued on Friday and Saturday night in Brooklyn. On Friday, the trio was joined by special guests Aaron Neville, Cochemea Gastelum, Alecia Chakour, Sasha Ortiz, Sonya Kitchell and The Shady Horns as well as members of Rustic Overtones. Aaron Neville led Soulive for a vast majority of the first set including takes on “Hercules,” “Down By The Riverside” and “When The Saints Go Marching In.” Soulive’s second set on Friday focused on covers such as The Beatles’ “Revolution” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” plus Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Lenny” and “Third Stone From The Sun” by Jimi Hendrix. Saturday night’s show saw Soulive joined by Jennifer Hartswick, Sam Kininger, The Shady Horns and members of Snarky Puppy. Kininger stayed out for the vast majority of the evening, while Hartswick contributed to “Tell Mama,” “Povo,” “Flurries” and “Blues For Mama” in the second set as well as the encore -a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “The Ocean.”
