Cory Wong joined forces with Chromeo on the new collaborative single “J.A.M. (Just A Minute).” The track appears on Wong’s upcoming studio album, Power Station and came with a live performance video that initially premiered last week during the latest installment of the guitarist’s Cory And The Wongnotes online musical variety show.
The 15-track Power Station is due out this Friday, April 29 and is currently available to pre-save and pre-order on vinyl. Cory And The Wongnotes‘ second season and Power Station finds the ever-prolific Vulfpeck guitarist and backing band The Wongnotes joined by an impressive array of musical guests for collaborations including Chromeo, Béla Fleck, Billy Strings, Big Wild, Nate Smith, Lindsay Ell, Victor Wooten, Sierra Hull, Mark Lettieri, Joey Dosik and Larry Carlton.

Each episode of Cory And The Wongnotes features a mix of live performances, comedy sketches, guest appearances, interviews and more. “This season of Cory and The Wongnotes is exciting for me because I got to invite some of my musical heroes on to the show, and even write music with them,” Wong explained. “The guests on this season are incredible musicians; each with an interesting and unique journey with how they’ve arrived where they’re at. I got to dive deep with them both musically and personally with extended interviews and recording live in the room together. Each episode has its own theme and I was able to explore how those themes relate to everyday life as a musician.”
“J.A.M. (Just A Minute)” shows off the talents of Montreal-based electro-funk duo Chromeo. David “Dave 1” Macklovitch and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel added vocals, keyboards and talkbox to the track. Wong teamed with the pair and Rob Harris to write “J.A.M. (Just A Minute),” which comes on the heels of previously released Power Station singles “Crisis” featuring Big Wild and title track “Power Station.”
