San Francisco-based septet Con Brio will issue their sophomore full-length album Explorer on July 6 via Transistor Sound. The band has shared the latest single from the LP entitled “Too Lit 2 Quit.”

Con Brio drew inspiration for “Too Lit 2 Quit” from the music of fellow Bay Area resident MC Hammer. The legendary rapper shocked the seven-piece by turning up at one of their shows in December 2016, when he raged the dancefloor throughout the night. MC Hammer scored a huge hit with both the album Too Legit To Quit and the single 2 Legit 2 Quit in 1991.

“The world feels crazy, and life is really hard for a lot of folks right now,” said McCarter in a statement about Explorer. “We just want to create as much positivity as possible.” The album documents the endless touring Con Brio has embarked upon since the 2016’s release of Paradise, their debut album. Explorer is currently available for pre-order via Fat Beats.
