Hear Chris Stapleton Cover Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’

The cover is one of 53 that appears on the forthcoming ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ compilation.

Today, singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton released his cover of “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica. Stapleton’s take on the song from Metallica’s The Black Album appears on the forthcoming The Metallica Blacklist compilation.

The Metallica Blacklist features 53 covers of songs from The Black Album recorded by a diverse batch of artists including Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Kamasi Washington, Rodrigo y Gabriela and more. The compilation arrives through Blackened Records digitally on September 10 ahead of vinyl and CD versions on October 1.

Proceeds from Stapleton’s Metallica cover will be split between the heavy metal act’s All Within My Hands charitable foundation and Outlaw State Of Kind. Chris is currently in the midst of the All-American Road Show tour.
