By Scott Bernstein Mar 9, 2020 12:48 pm PDT

Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes closed out their Brothers Of A Feather tour on Friday night at The Chapel in San Francisco. The pair fit a number of tour debuts into the last show of the run.

After opening with “Jealous Again,” “Hotel Illness” and “Wiser Time,” the duo performed “She” by Gram Parsons together for the first time since a Crowes show on July 9, 2009 and first time as a pair since August 13, 2006. Another big surprise followed as Chris and Rich played “The Garden Gate” from 2009’s Before The Frost…Until The Freeze. Next, the brothers treated fans to a run of “Thorn In My Pride,” “Whoa Mule” and “Oh Josephine.”

The evening’s third tour debut followed in the form of “Goodbye Daughters Of The Revolution,” the opening track from 2008’s Warpaint. Chris and Rich then ended the set with staples “Soul Singing,” “She Talks To Angels” and “Remedy.” The Robinson Brothers said farewell with a “Boomer’s Story” (Ry Cooder) encore. The Black Crowes kick off an extensive world tour on June 17 in Austin.
