Chew In Krasno Out For The Word In New York

UPDATE 2/11 7:30 a.m. PT: The Word’s performance at The Capitol Theatre has been postponed. A note on The Capitol Theatre’s website reads, “At the request of the artist, The Word at the Capitol Theatre on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 has been postponed. The new date will be Thursday, May 1, 2014. All tickets will be honored on the new date, or refunds are available at point of purchase.” Tonight’s show at Brooklyn Bowl is still expected to proceed as planned.

Back in January we were excited to see The Word announce a pair of shows at impresario Pete Shapiro’s venues in the New York City Area, but were disappointed that the band’s bassist, Chris Chew, would be sitting the shows out. Thankfully, the situation has changed as Shapiro’s Jambands.com has revealed Chew will indeed play with The Word.

The Word featuring Chris Chew are set to play Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg tomorrow night followed The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on Wednesday. Jambands.com also reveals that Eric Krasno won’t perform at The Cap as was originally announced. No word yet on whether Chew will be aboard for The Word’s return to New Orleans.
