Cate Le Bon is back with a new single, “Always The Same,” featuring vocals from St. Vincent. The track out on Mexican Summer follows the Welsh singer-songwriter’s acclaimed 2025 album, Michelangelo Dying.
While not appearing on her latest LP, “Always The Same” is a branch on the same tree as Michelangelo Dying.
“‘Always The Same’ needed a little more elbow room than the album would allow,” Le Bon stated, “but it is cousin to the song cycle of Michelangelo Dying, coming into formation in the same breath.”
Cate also shared her thoughts on working with St. Vincent (Annie Clark) again, her second collaboration with Clark after working on St. Vincent’s LP, All Born Screaming. LeBon said the collaboration on “Always The Same” is “[s]pecial to me because it features dear friend and mighty artist St. Vincent who occupies the space around me with composure and gravitas whilst I kick around in the dirty waters of love.”
