R&B and hip-hop star Bryson Tiller announced he will release his fourth studio album, the self-titled Bryson Tiller, via Trapsoul/RCA Records on April 5. Tiller will hit the road this spring and summer for an extensive tour visiting 30 North American cities in support of the record, which features new single “Calypso.”
The Grammy-nominated artist’s forthcoming 19-track effort follows 2020’s ANNIVERSARY. The new album “promises to be a personal narrative that weaves together Tiller’s signature blend of trap and soulful R&B with fresh rap and pop elements,” as per press materials heralding its release. “Here’s what I’ve been building for the past three years,” Tiller wrote on Instagram in a caption accompanying a clip showing a computer-made avatar of himself that leads to a reveal of the release date. “Looking forward to showing the world what he’s capable of… I know it’s been a while since we released the first single for [the Bryson Tiller album], but my boy needed a little more work.”

Tiller recently officially issued the track “Whatever She Wants” after the song first arrived exclusively on Soundcloud last November as part of his Slum Tiller mixtape. “Whatever She Wants,” which will also appear on Bryson Tiller, became a hit for the rapper/singer-songwriter and is currently sitting at the five-slot on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart.
Out now is the romantically-focused “Calypso” documenting an encounter at a nightclub. The cut was produced by BASSCHARITY, Black Mic, Che and LEON. Check out the visualizer for the song below:
