Bruce Springsteen has postponed all remaining 2023 tour dates with the E Street Band while he continues to undergo treatment for peptic ulcer disease. The decision came “out of an abundance of caution” as The Boss “has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the last few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice,” as per a note posted on Springsteen’s social feeds.
The 73-year-old rocker disclosed the ailment earlier this month when he postponed September tour dates. Springsteen aims to return to the road in 2024.
“All remaining 2023 tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024,” continued the note from Team Springsteen. “Rescheduled dates for each of the 2023 shows, including those postponed earlier this month, will be announced next week, all taking place at their originally scheduled venues.”
Tickets for the original shows will be valid on the new dates. Once the rescheduled dates are confirmed, fans unable to attend the new dates who bought tickets through official ticketing companies can request a refund for up to 30 days.
“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support,” wrote Bruce Springsteen. “I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”
