Five years after The Allman Brothers Band alumni and friends took the stage as The Brothers at Madison Square Garden, a nearly identical lineup will once again play songs from the ABB repertoire at the famed New York City venue. The Brothers will return to MSG for concerts on Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16.

The Brothers consists of founding Allman Brothers drummer Jaimoe and longtime bandmates guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quinones along with drummer Joe Russo, keyboardist Reese Wynans and drummer Isaac Eady. Keyboardist Chuck Leavell, who was a member of the ABB from 1972 – 1976, will serve as special guest.

On March 10, 2020, the same group of musicians with Duane Trucks holding down the role that will be filed by Isaac Eady this spring, celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band with a The Brothers show at The Garden. Reese Wynans has a special connection to the music, as he was a member of the pre-Allmans outfit Second Coming and took part in the initial ABB jam session featuring founding members Jaimoe, Butch Trucks, Berry Oakley, Dickey Betts and Duane Allman. Duane’s brother Gregg Allman went on to solidify the Allmans lineup in favor of Wynans and the rest was history.

“The chance to play at the Garden with my friends again – FAR OUT man!” exclaimed Jaimoe. “I’ll see you in April!!”

The Brothers promise to “bring a while new show to this year’s run,” in a press release announcing the shows. “The band will dive into the acclaimed Allman Brothers Band repertoire delivering hits and rarities from their decades-long career, while also showcasing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees’ continued influence and legacy, more than ten years after their official last bow,” the statement added.

The Allman Brothers Band’s longest running lineup — Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Marc Quiñones, Oteil Burbridge, Jaimoe and Butch Trucks — played their final show on October 28, 2014 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City to bring the band’s 45-year career to a close.

Pre-sale tickets for both shows go on sale on Wednesday, February 12 at 10 a.m. ET. Registration to purchase pre-sale tickets is currently underway at TheBrothersMSG.com. General on-sales follow on Friday, February 14 at 10 a.m. ET.
