Perpetual Groove guitarist/vocalist Brock Butler started using his YouTube extensively during the band’s 2013 – 2015 hiatus to share covers and originals with his fans. Butler continues to upload solo acoustic versions of his favorite songs to the channel including a recently added Todd Snider cover.
Brock performed Todd Snider’s “Play A Train Song” in one of his newest YouTube videos. Todd Snider’s ode to his late friend Skip Litz is right in Butler’s wheelhouse. Snider’s original can be heard on his 2005 album East Nashville Skyline. Butler joins a list of musicians who have covered “Play A Train Song” that also includes Jason Isbell and Robert Earl Keen.
