Boz Scaggs Shares New Album ‘Out Of The Blues’

Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs released his latest LP Out Of The Blues via Concord Records. Scaggs mixed covers and originals over the course of the nine-track record which can be streamed below.

Out Of The Blues, which was self-produced by Boz Scaggs, is the 19th studio album from the Ohio-birthed musician. Boz laid down the music found on the LP at Sunset Sound Studios with a batch of contributors that included legendary session drummer Jim Keltner, guitarists Doyle Bramhall II, Ray Parker Jr. and Charlie Sexton, bassist Willie Weeks and keyboardist Jim Cox.

Scaggs tapped longtime collaborator Jack Walroth to pen four of the tunes found on the record. Walroth also adds harmonica to Out Of The Blues which completes a trilogy began with 2013’s Memphis and continued with 2015’s A Fool To Care.

Boz Scaggs covered Neil Young’s “On The Beach” for the LP as well as songs popularized Bobby “Blue” Bland, Jimmy Reed and Magic Sam on Out Of The Blues. Stream the new Boz Scaggs album below:
