boygenius – Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus — made their Saturday Night Live debut over the weekend. The trio performed a pair of songs off their debut album, The Record, and participated in a Troye Sivan skit with host Timothée Chalamet.
Up first for boygenius was a performance of their song “Not Strong Enough,” which just earned Grammy Award nominations for Record Of The Year, Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song. The group’s second performance was “Satanist,” another song off The Record, which earned additional Grammy nominations for Album Of The Year, Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album.

Bridgers, Baker and Dacus also appeared in a sketch parodying Australian musician/actor Troye Sivan and his red-underwear exposing video for his song “Got Me Started.” The three musicians and Chalamet dressed in matching Sivan outfits and wigs and pulled off the same pants-dropping move from the video.
