Watch boygenius Debut Another New Song From Upcoming EP In Boston

When boygenius announced their upcoming new EP, the rest, the trio of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus only revealed the title of one of the four songs on the record due on October 13. The group debuted “Black Hole,” during their concert Monday at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston and last night premiered another of the EP’s tracks, “Afraid Of Heights,” on night two at the same venue.

A companion to boygenius’ debut album, the record, which was released earlier this year, the rest was co-produced by boygenius and Tony Berg, Jake Finch, Ethan Gruska, Calvin Lauber, Collin Pastore and Marshall Vore.

“We announced an EP yesterday,” Dacus told the Boston audience. “And this is a different song than last night.”

Dacus then sang lead on “Afraid Of Heights,” with Baker playing electric guitar and Bridgers on acoustic guitar. Watch audience-shot footage of the new song debut below:
