Boston Red Sox To Honor Jerry Garcia With Jerry Day At Fenway Park
A Red Sox tie dye jersey will be distributed to those who take part in a special ticket offer.

Major League Baseball team the Boston Red Sox will pay tribute to late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia with a special theme night this summer. Fenway Park will host Jerry Day on Wednesday, August 9. The date marks the 28th anniversary of Garcia’s passing.
Those who purchase tickets for the Red Sox game against the Kansas City Royals via this special offer will receive a Red Sox tie dye jersey. “Garcia” is featured on the back with a Jerry logo on the side of the jersey.
A pregame concert incorporating Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead songs will be performed on Jersey Street before the game. Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Rex Foundation.
The replica Red Sox jerseys will be distributed in sizes ranging from small to extra large. Sizes will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.
