Boston Calling 2014 | Jack Johnson, Death Cab And More

Last year marked the debut of the Boston Calling music festival and it went so well organizers followed up the May debut with a September installment. Boston Calling returns to Beantown’s City Hall Plaza on Memorial Day Weekend (May 23 -25) with a lineup featuring headliners Jack Johnson, Death Cab For Cutie and Modest Mouse. This time around the event will span three days.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Head and the Heart, Phosphorescent, Built to Spill and Kurt Vile and the Violators are among the JamBase favorites on the Boston Calling ’14 lineup. Another artist will be added to the lineup soon. There will be no overlapping sets.

“I was thrilled to curate the line-up for the second year in a row. Having performed at Boston Calling in May 2013, I can say from experience that playing the festival is electric and we couldn’t be happier with the amazing group of artists who will perform at Boston Calling this year,” says festival curator Aaron Dessner of The National in a statement announcing the event.

A pre-sale for Boston Calling tickets and VIP passes is set to start tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the general onsale to follow on January 31.
