Bootsy Collins Honors ‘Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame’ & Advocates For Peace With ‘We Outta B’ Funkin’

Funk legend Bootsy Collins shared two new tracks today. Presented by the Bootsy Collins Foundation and his Funk Not Fight initiative, “Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame” is the theme song for the eponymous stroll in Bootsy’s hometown while “We Outta B’ Funkin” aims to raise awareness for the upcoming Funk Not Fight Rally4 Peace set to take place in Compton, California on December 30.
The Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame is a “free, family-focused attraction founded by Hamilton County Board of Commissioners Alicia Reece, who helped raise $20 million publicly and privately raised funds for the project,” as per a press release.

“Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame” sees Bootsy on bass, guitar, drums and vocals. The track features Penny Ford, Terry Troutman, Reggie Calloway, Vincent Calloway and Tnava Avant. The song is set to be unveiled at an event taking place at the Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame today, December 15, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Listen to “Cincinnati Black Music Walk Of Fame” and check out the poster for the event below:
“We Outta B’ Funkin” is a song Bootsy shared to raise awareness for the Funk Not Fight Rally4 Peace set to take place in Compton, California on December 30 at the Victory Outreach Ministries.
As per a press release:
The rally aims to address the pressing issue of violence affecting the lives of Compton residents, particularly the younger generation. With a focus on fostering positivity, engagement, and understanding, the event seeks to provide opportunities that will contribute to the well-being of the Compton community.
