Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy Details New album ‘We Are Together Again’ & Shares Single

Singer-songwriter Will Oldham will release a new Bonnie “Prince” Billy album entitled We Are Together Again on March 6 through No Quarter. Oldham previewed the pending record with the lead single, “They Keep Trying To Find You.”

Work on We Are Together Again began prior to Oldham’s time in Nashville recording his most recent album, 2025’s The Paper Bird. Oldham returned to the 10 songs that make up the upcoming LP last spring during sessions held at End Of An Ear Studios in his hometown of Louisville. Oldham co-produced with engineer Jim Marlowe.

Current touring companions, Jacob Duncan (flute and saxophone) and Thomas Deakin (clarinet, whistle, baritone electric guitar, accordion, cornet), were part of the recording process, alongside Ryder McNair, Chris Bush, Ned Oldham and Erin Hill.

Oldham named additional contributors in a statement regarding We Are Together Again:

“This record was made closer to the Ohio River than any I’ve been involved with since 1993’s Palace Brothers There Is No-One What Will Take Care of You. Louisville’s current-and-past vital musical community is highlighted on every song.

“Catherine Irwin, who sang on the BPB release Ease Down the Road, is back here on ‘Hey Little’ and ‘Vietnam Sunshine.’ Lacey Guthrie, Tory Fisher and Katie Peabody, the three front women of the band Duchess, sing together on the opening and closing songs, parallel odes to the beast that is fear.“
