Bon Iver has released tracks from their forthcoming i,i studio album at a steady rate this morning. After previously sharing four songs from the 13-track LP in batches of two, the latest flood features eight more as of press time. i,i is officially due out on August 30 via Jagjaguwar.

The flood started with “iMi,” the second song on the album. An hour later, Bon Iver unveiled “We,” the third track on i,i. Sixty minutes passed and out came “Holyfields,” the LP’s fourth track. i,i‘s fifth and sixth tracks had already been released, so next up was “Naeem,” the seventh track from Bon Iver’s forthcoming album. The next song shared by the group was “Marion,” the 10th track from i,i following the previously shared tracks number eight (“Jelmore”) and nine (“Faith”), and then dropped “Salem,” “Sh’Diah” and “RABi.” As for press time, only the album’s first has yet to be released.

i,i is Bon Iver’s fourth LP and completes a cycle of albums inspired by seasons. “From the winter of For Emma, Forever Ago came the frenetic spring of Bon Iver, Bon Iver, and the unhinged summer of 22, A Million. Now, fall arrives early with i,i,” noted a statement when the forthcoming album was announced. “It feels very much like the most adult record, the most complete,” explained mastermind Justin Vernon in a statement about i,i. “It feels like when you get through all this life, when the sun starts to set, and what happens is you start gaining perspective. And then you can put that perspective into more honest, generous work.”

Work on i,i began in Wisconsin at April Base and eventually moved to West Texas’ Sonic Ranch. Vernon was joined by musicians Sean Carey, Matt McCaughan, Andrew Fitzpatrick and Mike Lewis with Jenn Wasner and Rob Moose as the core band on the LP. James Blake, Brad and Phil Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Naeem, Velvet Negroni, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney and TU Dance are among contributors to i,i.
