Bon Iver Debuts New Songs At First Show In Years

Yesterday the inaugural Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin drew to a successful close. The first-time event curated by Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner included a lineup featuring The National, Spoon, Sturgill Simpson, Blind Boys of Alabama, Phil Cook, Indigo Girls, Hiss Golden Messenger and others, and concluded the second of two days of music with the first full Bon Iver performance since 2012.

Located near Vernon’s hometown, on Friday night he and fellow fest performer Sufjan Stevens joined The National for part of their headlining set. On Saturday night Vernon regrouped his Grammy Award winning project Bon Iver for the group’s first performance since 2012. The set included cuts from his Album Of The Year awarded 2011 self-titled LP, as well as his 2007 debut For Emma, Forever Ago and the 2009 EP Blood Bank. Vernon also lead the band through two new, currently untitled songs at the tail end of the set Videos of both new tunes are posted below.
