On August 30, Bon Iver will release a new album entitled i,i via Jagjaguwar. Justin Vernon and company embark on their biggest tour yet the next day, August 31. Bon Iver teamed with WePresent, the editorial arm of WeTransfer, to preview the album and tour with the Bon Iver: Autumn mini-documentary.

Vernon and the other members of the band discuss the making of the album and all the work going into the production for the tour. While Bon Iver will play the largest rooms they’ve ever headlined over the course of the jaunt, the group aims to keep the intimacy of i,i. At one point, viewers see the installation of light-tracking mirrors that will be part of the set design for the run.

Bon Iver will employ a new sound system called the L-ISA for the tour. “It’s a three-dimensional PA with a lot more power, a lot more bass, a lot more imaging, specifically to make it not just two big sets of speakers coming at you,” Vernon explained. The band used the system at a show held in Santa Barbara. “It was by far the best sounding show you guys have ever done,” Bon Iver’s manager told Justin. So the band’s team are now adapting the system for the arena level.
