Symphonic Dead: Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros Featuring The Wolfpack To Team With Stanford Symphony Orchestra

Grateful Dead guitarist Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring The Wolf Pack string and horn section are teaming with Stanford Symphony Orchestra for a Bay Area concert. The show is set to take place on October 29 at the Frost Amphitheater on the Stanford campus in Palo Alto, California.

The Frost concert will mark the West Coast premiere of Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros’ symphonic explorations after debuting the project last year with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. A collab with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra followed.

Stanford’s Gretchen B. Kimball Director of Orchestral Studies and Associate Professor of Music Paul Phillips will conduct the Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros performance with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra. The West Coast debut of the symphonic project is fitting not only for taking place in the town where the Grateful Dead formed but also as Stanford’s Dr. Giancarlo Aquilanti provided the original orchestration for the project.
