Bob Weir To Help Produce Amazon Series On Grateful Dead

Amazon has tapped Bob Weir to executive produce a new bio series about the Grateful Dead according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. The series will be based on longtime Dead crew member Steve Parish’s 2003 book Home Before Daylight: My Life On The Road With The Grateful Dead.

Parish has also been brought on board as an executive producer as Amazon continues to grow its offerings of original content for Prime members. Hollywood Reporter goes on to report the project has yet to find a writer, though the site confirms meetings are being held in the coming weeks to help find one. In addition to his duties as executive producer, Weir will also be in charge of the music for the series. Stay tuned for more details.
