Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir will soon hit the road with the new ensemble Dead & Company, but Bobby hasn’t forgotten about his old band. Weir will reunite with members of RatDog for a performance at a benefit next month.
Bob Weir will team with RatDog members Steve Kimock, Jay Lane, and Robin Sylvester on October 10 at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. The show is a benefit for both the Seva Foundation and Mill Valley Film Festival. Tickets sold out immediately after going on-sale.

RatDog played their last official show on July 12, 2014 at Denver’s Ogden Theatre. The last incarnation of the band featured Weir, Kimock, Lane, Sylvester, Jeff Chimenti and Rob Wasserman.
In other Bob Weir news, the guitarist sat-in with Tedeschi Trucks Band on Saturday afternoon at Sound Summit, a music festival held at Mount Tamalpais State Park in the Bay Area. Weir’s guest spot came one week after a similar appearance with TTB at Lockn’.
