Bob Weir Performs With Phil Lesh & Terrapin Family Band At Terrapin Crossroads
By Scott Bernstein Mar 7, 2017 • 6:24 am PST
Longtime Grateful Dead and Furthur band mates Phil Lesh and Bob Weir reunited for a very special night at Terrapin Crossroads on Monday. Weir joined Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band for both sets and the encore as Phil’s San Rafael, California venue/restaurant starts a celebration of its fifth anniversary.
Phil, Bobby, guitarists Ross James and Grahame Lesh, drummer Alex Koford and keyboardist Jason Crosby played before a packed house at the Terrapin Crossroads bar. The six-piece focused on Grateful Dead classics throughout the night but also worked in a pair of songs from Weir’s Blue Mountain album and a cover of The Band’s “The Shape I’m In.” Vocalist Nicki Bluhm was also on hand to contribute to “The Music Never Stopped” towards the end of the second set. The sextet finished the evening with a rousing “Johnny B. Goode” encore sung by Weir. Watch a collection of videos from the free show at Terrapin Crossroads:
