Grateful Dead lyricist John Perry Barlow has spent the last 18 months in “medical incarceration” as he deals with one health issue after another. After 18 months of paying the immense cost of extended convalescence in contemporary America, Barlow’s friends have started the John Perry Barlow Wellness Trust. In addition, a number of JPB’s musical friends will come together at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California on October 24 to raise funds for Barlow’s care.
The impressive lineup for the benefit consists of Bob Weir, Jerry Harrison, members of The String Cheese Incident, Lukas Nelson, Sean Lennon & Les Claypool and Ramblin’ Jack Elliott. Special guests are also expected to appear. Additionally, the event will include live and silent auctions. All proceeds will go directly towards John Perry Barlow’s care and recovery.
Tickets for Everyday Miracle: A Benefit for John Perry Barlow are on sale now via Ticketfly. Donations are also being accepted through the John Perry Barlow Wellness Trust.
