BOB DYLAN WELCOMES JIM JAMES OF MY MORNING JACKET
AND JEFF TWEEDY OF WILCO TO THE STAGE AT AMERICANARAMA
It took a while, 14 shows into the AmericanaramA tour to be exact, but last night at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON,
Bob Dylan welcomed Jim James of
My Morning Jacket and Jeff Tweedy of
Wilco to join him in his headlining slot. James and Tweedy performed with Dylan on Rev. Gary Davis’ “Twelve Gates To The City” and Dylan’s “Blowin’ In The Wind.” The first and only Canadian stop on the tour also saw newsworthy action in Wilco’s set as
Feist joined the band for a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Suzanne” and Wilco’s “You and I,” a song Feist also recorded with Wilco on
Wilco (The Album). My Morning Jacket also piled onto the stage during Wilco’s set for a cover of Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl,” a collaboration that has become a frequent occurrence on the tour.
The AmericanaramA tour is a little more than halfway through and picks up again on July 18 at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, NY.
