By Scott Bernstein Aug 12, 2019 • 10:20 am PDT
moe., Blues Traveler and G. Love finished off their extensive summer tour on Sunday at Stubb’s in Austin. As usual, all three acts collaborated on a set between Blues Traveler and moe.’s performances.
G. Love’s support performance included such originals as “Cold Beverage,” “I-76” and “Love” along with covers of Bukka White’s “Fixin’ To Die” and “Going Up The Country” by Canned Heat. Then, Blues Traveler used The Charlie Daniels Band’s “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” to bookend most of their set. “Carolina Blues,” “But Away,” “Hook” and Sublime’s “What I Got” were among the songs played within portions of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.” Traveler ended their last set of the tour with the original “Thinnest Of Air” and a cover of Cheap Trick’s “I Want You To Want Me.”

The collaborative set got underway with a stripped-down rendition of Blues Traveler’s “Alone” featuring two members of each band. Next up were covers of Pink Floyd’s “Fearless,” Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ In The Years” and the Grateful Dead’s “Bertha.” The finale of the tour’s last collaborative performance was based around G. Love’s “Go Crazy.”
moe. brought the night and tour to a close with a nine-song set and “Threw It All Away” encore. The quintet opened with “Haze” which led into “Wormwood” and “Deep This Time.” Next up was “Tambourine” before “All Road Lead To Home” bled into “Waiting For The Punchline.” A cover of Pink Floyd’s “Time” gave way to “Dangerous Game” before “Timmy Tucker” ended the frame.
