Jack Antonoff and Bleachers visited 30 Rock yesterday for an appearance on Thursday’s episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers. The hit-making producer and musician sat for an interview and performed “Alma Mater” with his band.

Antonoff talked to host Seth Meyers about his big 2023 which included getting married, working with Taylor Swift on her Midnights album and producing Lana Del Rey‘s Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. “I’m really proud of those two because in my industry there’s this endless rah-rah, pivot this way and that way,” the New Jersey native said of Swift and Del Rey. “Lana and Taylor, we’ve just worked for a long period of time and found this space where it gets loonier and loonier, and more exciting.” Meyers acknowledged Antonoff is up for six 2024 Grammys.

Jack addressed how when he was younger he was warned about embarking on a career in the music industry. “It’s all a tough life, but it’s also a beautiful life. I wonder which guidance counselors got together and were like ‘we’re gonna shit on this job?'” Antonoff said. He noted there’s plenty of jobs in music and added, “It’s not like I want to fly in space.” Antonoff spoke about Bruce Springsteen's 2022 guest spot with Bleachers at the end of the interview.

Bleachers assembled to perform “Alma Mater” to close out the last new Late Night episode of the year. The new single is featured on the band’s forthcoming self-titled studio album. Bleachers is due out via Dirty Hit on March 8. Antonoff and Bleachers will launch a North American tour in Magna, Utah on May 18.
