Blackberry Smoke followed a pair of sold-out concerts at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on Friday and Saturday nights by confirming the upcoming release of a concert film. Homecoming: Live In Atlanta is due out on CD, DVD and LP November 15.

The new concert film and live album documents the band’s November 23, 2018 hometown performance at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. Last year’s show continued a trend of “Homecoming” concerts on the day after Thanksgiving that is a reunion of sorts for the band’s friends, family and “Brothers & Sisters” fanbase. Blackberry Smoke was joined by special guests Benji Shanks, Preston Holcomb and The Black Betty’s at the concert featured on Homecoming: Live In Atlanta. The film was shot in Ultra 4K and mixed in 5.1 surround sound.

BBS’ two-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl in NYC started with a 20-song performance on Friday. The band treated fans to a career-spanning mix of originals as well as a rare cover of Elton John’s “Burn Down The Mission” and the Blackberry Smoke debut of “Sway” by The Rolling Stones. Guitarist JD Simo joined the group for “Not Fade Away” as part of the evening’s encore. Then, on Saturday, BBS focused on material from Find A Light and The Whippoorwill. Covers of Tom Petty’s “You Got Lucky” and The Allman Brothers Band’s “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed” also made the setlist.
