The Black Crowes Prep ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ Live Album

The Black Crowes will release the new live album Shake Your Money Maker Live via Silver Arrow on March 17. The 19-song collection features the best performances from the band’s 2021 – 2022 reunion tour.

Each night of the trek, which was supposed to start in 2020 but was delayed by the pandemic, featured a full performance of the band’s 1990 debut album, Shake Your Money Maker. The group led by brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson then offered a selection of hits before ending the night with an encore, typical consisting of a classic rock cover. The Black Crowes: Shake Your Money Maker Live recreates that structure with covers of The Rolling Stones’ “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)” and The Velvet Underground’s “Rock & Roll” closing the album.

“The Black Crowes are proud to present an audio document of our Shake Your Money Maker Tour from the last 2 years,” wrote Chris Robinson on the band’s website. “From where it all began to where we’re going and all that was in between. Hail hail rock ‘n roll!”
