Billy Strings shared a cover of “Ready For The Times To Get Better.” Country artist Crystal Gayle released the song as a single in 1978.

Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Famer Allen Reynolds wrote “Ready For The Times To Get Better.” Crystal Gayle — the sister of Loretta Lynn — included the song on her 1976 album Crystal and the 1978 single hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Billy’s arrangement features some expert picking from the lauded guitarist that almost sounds as if there are two guitarists in the room in a Leo Kottke-esque kind of way.
