Billy Joel Welcomes Axl Rose & P!nk At Dodger Stadium Show

Last night Billy Joel took a break from his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden to perform at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The Piano Man treated the sold out crowd to 28-song show that spanned his 40-plus year career, along with welcoming a pair of high-profile special guests to help him out.

Joel worked his way through some of his most well-known material including “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song),” “Allentown,” “Say Goodbye To Hollywood” and “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant,” and also dipped into his catalog for takes on “Zanzibar,” “Sometimes A Fantasy” and “Don’t Ask Me Why.”

Midway through the main set Joel welcomed his first guest of the night pop-rocker P!nk. The pair teamed up for a take on Joel’s “New York State Of Mind,” as well as a take on P!ink’s “Try” from her 2012 album The Truth About Love.

Four songs later Joel had another surprise in store as he strapped on an electric guitar and welcomed out Axl Rose. The GnR frontman led Joel and his backing band through a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell.” Rose’s night was not done there, as he returned during the encore to also help out on Joel’s own “Big Shot.”
