Billy Joel To Break His Own Madison Square Garden Record

In 2006, Billy Joel set a Madison Square Garden record by becoming the first solo artist to sell out twelve shows on a single tour. The Piano Man will break his own record on January 9, when he plays his record-breaking 13th show at MSG as part of his “Franchise” series at the NYC venue.

Tickets for the January 9th show go on sale on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. ET. All previous shows as part of the run sold out. Joel’s January 9th performance will mark his 59th overall performance at Madison Square Garden. He’s approaching the MSG record currently held by Elton John for “most number of performances by any artist” at 64 performances.
