Billie Eilish and her brother FINNEAS traded their 2020 home replica for the real NPR office as they made their official Tiny Desk Concert debut. The siblings, who previously performed from a recreated set during the peak of the pandemic, showcased material from Hit Me Hard And Soft at NPR’s Washington D.C. headquarters.

Hit Me Hard And Soft, Eilish’s third studio album, was released in May. FINNEAS co-wrote and produced the 10-track LP, recorded at his home studio in the pair’s hometown of Los Angeles.

Billie Eilish and FINNEAS on guitar were joined at NPR by drummer Andrew Marshall, bassist Solo Smith and pianist Abe Nouri. Eilish was nervous and said she was “shaky” about an experience she “wanted to do [her] whole life” but was in fine voice throughout as she displayed her phenomenal range.

Hit Me Hard And Soft standouts “The Greatest” and “L’Amour De Ma Vie” were each stripped down to their bare essences with delicate piano arrangements to start the session. Eilish then looked back to her debut album, 2019’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, for “I Love You.” She called it one of her favorite songs she and Finneas have written.

Billie Eilish capped the set with her latest latest chart-topping hit, “Birds Of A Feather.” The Hit Me Hard And Soft single earned Eilish 2025 Grammy nominations for Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
