On August 31, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and The National’s Aaron Dessner will release the self-titled Big Red Machine debut studio album through PEOPLE/Jagjaguwar. The pair shared two songs from the contributor-filled record as part of the PEOPLE 1 Mixtape compilation.
Aaron and Justin named the project after an instrumental song they worked up for the Red Hot Organization’s 2009 charity album Dark Was The Night. The pair recorded the forthcoming 10-track LP mainly at Long Pond in Hudson Valley, New York. Dessner, Vernon and Brad Cook served as co-producers. Each song on the album features a number of guests from the PEOPLE artist collective. Cook, Richard Reed Parry, Lisa Hannigan, Beth Meyers, Bryce Dessner and JT Bates are among the musicians who contributed to Big Red Machine’s debut album. Head here for a full list of credits.
