Bad Bunny & J Balvin Address Past Feud & Share Stage Together In Mexico City

Bad Bunny’s run of shows at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City continued on Sunday night. An unexpected appearance by J Balvin saw both singers address their past rift and perform together for the first time in years.

“I apologized a long time ago — people don’t know but we had a conversation a few weeks ago,” Bad Bunny said according to Rolling Stone’s translation from Spanish. “But we were waiting for the perfect moment to share the stage, and it’s good that it was here in Mexico. For many years, Jose [Balvin] has been representing Latinos around the entire world and opening doors for the urbano genre. Not just in Colombia but also around the world, but also on the Latin American and global level.”

Bad Bunny and J Balvin released their collaborative album, Oasis, in 2019. Four years later, Bad Bunny took an apparent shot at Balvin on the song, “Thunder Y Lightning.” Before the concert in Mexico City, which is the final show of Bad Bunny’s 2025 Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour, the pair had not performed together since 2021.

“I’m so proud of Benito Ocasio Martinez [Bad Bunny] for what he’s doing, for what he represents,” Balvin told the Mexico City crowd. “Because he takes us Latinos around the world. Because he’s a dreamer, hard worker, whom we always knew would become one of the biggest in music history. For me its an honor to share with you, and I’d like to thank you because you’ve taught me a lot too. Today, I want to tell you that I admire you, that I love you and your family. May God bless them and keep blessing them. The past is the past, but we’re men that have matured. We forgive each other always.”

Bad Bunny and J Balvin connected on the Oasis tracks “La Canción” and “Que Pretendes.” The collab also saw them perform their 2017 song, “Si Tu Novio Te Deja Sola,” and Cardi B’s “I Like It,” which they both featured on in 2018.
