The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton played “Eternal Love” from their collaborative album, AVTT/PTTN, on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The performance aired one day after the project made its live debut at New York City’s Loreto Theater.
Siblings Scott Avett and Seth Avett recorded AVTT/PTTN with the Faith No More/Mr. Bungle frontman. AVTT/PTTN, which features eight new original songs co-written by Patton and the Avetts and a cover of “The Ox Driver’s Song,” arrived earlier this month.
Scott, Seth and Mike were joined by The Avetts’ bandmates – bassist Bob Crawford, cellist Joe Kwon, drummer Mike Marsh, fiddler Tania Elizabeth and keyboardist Bonnie Avett-Rini – for their “Eternal Love” performance on Fallon. AVTT/PTTN will embark on an extensive tour in support of the collaborative album early next year.
