Audio | Led Zeppelin Shares Unreleased Instrumental La La

When the tracklist for the long-awaited Led Zeppelin reissues of the band’s first three albums came out, one particular track captured our attention. The companion disc for Led Zeppelin II contains the previously-unreleased instrumental track “La La.” Today, audio of “La La” has surfaced.

“La La” was originally recorded in 1969 and sounds unlike most of the material the trio was laying down around that time. It’s groove-heavy and contains powerful organ blasts from John Paul Jones and scorching, wah’d-out guitar work from Jimmy Page. Yet, it’s the potent drumming of John Bonham that holds the track together. It does sound unfinished as to be expected from an outtake. We dig “La La,” give it a spin to see if you agree:
