Arlo McKinley recruited fellow singer-songwriter Logan Halstead for the single “Back Home.” The track appears on McKinley’s upcoming new album, This Mess We're In, which comes out on John Prine’s Oh Boy Records on July 15.

McKinley’s second album, This Mess We’re In, serves as the follow-up to his 2020 debut LP, Die Midwestern. The forthcoming 11-song release was recorded by McKinley with producer Matt Ross-Spang at Sam Phillips Recording Service facility in Memphis. Musicians who contributed to the sessions were keyboardist Rick Steff, drummer Ken Coomer, guitarist Will Sexton, fiddler Jessie Munson and others.

McKinley, who currently is on his first international tour, also confirmed additional North American headlining tour dates in July and August.
