While reports surfaced on Sunday night that Aretha Franklin was “gravely ill,” it still stung when news of the “Queen Of Soul’s” death was announced this morning. Franklin was a singular talent who was beloved worldwide. Her influence can be heard in the music of many vocalists and pianists that followed in her footsteps.
