Arcade Fire Pair Among Mavis Staples Tribute Additions

An impressive collection of musical acts will come together at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on November 19 for I’ll Take You There -Celebrating 75 Years of Mavis Staples to pay tribute to the Windy City musical legend. The concert is being put together by the same team that organized past tributes to Levon Helm, Gregg Allman and Dr. John. The 75-year old Staples is expected to take part in many musical collaborations throughout the evening. A number of additions have made to the lineup recently including Win Butler and Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire, Bonnie Raitt and Otis Clay.

Gregg Allman, Ryan Bingham, Eric Church, Patty Griffin, Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Taj Mahal, Michael McDonald, Buddy Miller, Keb’ Mo’, Aaron Neville, Joan Osborne, Widespread Panic, Grace Potter, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy & Spencer Tweedy and Marty Stuart will join the new additions to paying tribute to Mavis. Staples will take the stage to perform with a number of special guests throughout the night.
