Aoife O’Donovan Shares ‘B61’ Single

Aoife O’Donovan shared a new single, “B61.” The tune is set to land on the singer-songwriter’s upcoming album, Age Of Apathy, out via Yep Roc Records on January 21.

O’Donovan announced Age Of Apathy in September and shared a video for lead single “Phoenix.” Aoife followed with “Prodigal Daughter” featuring Allison Russell as well as the title track and now, “B61.”

The new single is “an arresting ode to apocalyptic refuge and the bittersweet nature of remembering,” press materials for the song noted. “Written while lamenting the loneliness of mid-winter lockdown the track shimmers with the fading intimacy of the Brooklyn bars Aoife loved.”

O’Donovan utilized a piano in her New York apartment to write “B61.” Bassist David Piltch and drummer Jay Bellerose round out the track.
