Aoife O’Donovan & Allison Russell Deliver Gripping ‘Prodigal Daughter’ Performance On ‘Kimmel’
The performance was O’Donovan’s first “solo” late-night television appearance.

Singer-songwriter Aoife O’Donovan’s excellent 2022 album, Age Of Apathy, featured fellow singer-songwriter Allison Russell on the track “Prodigal Daughter.” The pair teamed up to perform the song on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
O’Donovan, who is one-third of the trio I’m With Her, released Age Of Apathy last year through Yep Roc Records. For her debut solo late-night TV performance, O’Donovan was joined on acoustic guitar by Isa Burke, along with bassist Ethan Jodziewicz, drummer Robin MacMillan and Russell on vocals.
O’Donovan will soon embark on a tour in which she’ll perform Bruce Springsteen’s album Nebraska in its entirety. The tour starts in Europe in February and continues in the United States in March and April.
