Andy Frasco and Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss recently joined forces for a session at Timeless Gem Studios in Chicago. Frasco shared performances of four songs from the set on YouTube, including a take on his new single “Try Not To Die.”
“Try Not To Die” became a staple of Andy Frasco & The U.N.'s live repertoire in 2024. The studio version is set for release on January 24.

Frasco’s ditty has a memorable chorus of “Pay all your bills, stay off the pills, try not to die.” Andy and Brendan harmonized on the vocals at Timeless Gem Studios. Bayliss accompanied Frasco on acoustic guitar.
Filmed on December 20, the set also featured another fairly new Frasco tune called “Ugly On You.” Additionally, the pair performed Umphrey’s McGee classic “Hajimemashite” and “Susanah” from Bayliss’ 30db project with the late Jeff Austin.
