Andy Falco, Tony Trischka, Holly Bowling, Tom Hamilton & Amy Helm Join Railroad Earth At Horn O’Plenty
Railroad Earth was joined by special guests Andy Falco, Tony Trischka, Holly Bowling, Tom Hamilton and Amy Helm over the course of this year’s annual Horn O’Plenty run in Pennsylvania. The shows took place at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg with Ghost Light opening on Friday and the Amy Helm Band supporting on Saturday.
The Infamous Stringdusters’ guitarist Andy Falco was frequently brought to the stage during the first and second sets played each night. Banjo player Tony Trischka was onstage for much of Friday’s first set that included the RRE debut of his original “Fletcher’s Bright Life” and he returned for a portion of the second set as well. Ghost Light guitarist Tom Hamilton and keyboardist Holly Bowling were tapped to sit-in for the second half of the second set that closed with the Grateful Dead’s “The Wheel.” Trischka came back out for Friday’s “Give That Boy A Hand” encore.
Keyboardist Damian Calcagne was enlisted by RRE for Saturday’s entire performance that once again frequently saw Falco joining the band as well. Amy Helm accompanied Falco at the conclusion of the first set for Railroad Earth’s debut cover of the 1800s folk ballad “Wait Till The Clouds Roll By.” Check out audience recordings off this year’s pair of guest-filled Horn O’Plenty shows below:
