Anderson .Paak and his band the Free Nationals will perform three benefit concerts in November at intimate venues. Proceeds from the concerts will go towards the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and the organization’s goal of helping “people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and regain control of their future.”
The run starts at August Hall in San Francisco on November 13. Paak then heads to Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse on November 15 and closes out the short jaunt at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on November 17. Anderson teamed with Modelo and iHeartMedia for the shows. iHeartRadio is giving away a trip to New York City to see .Paak that includes tickets, airfare, accommodations and more. Tickets are available now (11/13, 11/15, 11/17).
IRC’s mission is one that resonates with .Paak who was homeless before he went on to win a Grammy and achieve massive success. “As someone who’s struggled, who not too long ago had no job or place to call home, I know the importance of being given a fighting chance,” said Anderson in a press release as per Billboard. “Music was my fighting chance. Now, I’m thankful to team up with Modelo to give those in need a shot at proving what they’re made of.”
