Amy Ray Joins Tedeschi Trucks Band In Boston

Tedeschi Trucks Band continued a three night stand at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston Friday evening. The concert started with a supporting performance by Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, who was brought back to the stage to perform with the headliners.
“Anyhow” opened the Tedeschi Trucks Band’s main set that also saw takes on Derek & The Dominoes “Keep On Growing” and Blind Faith’s “Had To Cry To Day.” Ray, along with her band guitarist Jeff Fielder, emerged mid-set to share vocals with Susan Tedeschi on John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery” with the typical TTB interpolation of the Grateful Dead’s “Sugaree” played within.
The second half of TTB’s set featured “Made Up Mind,” Leon Russell’s “Delta Lady,” Allen Toussaint’s “Get Out My Life, Woman” and Santana’s “Soul Sacrifice. A cover of George Harrison’s “Isn’t It A Pity” began the encore before a rendition of Bob Dylan’s “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere,” with another sit-in by Fielder and Ray altered the lyrics to reference Standing Rock.
Tedeschi Trucks Band wraps their Orpheum run with an “evening with” concert tonight. Once again videographer Sean Roche was at Friday’s show, view his footage from last night in the clips below:
